WEEK 8 POST 2

I think that visual media would work well for my business platform. The businesses that I looked into seemed to really utilize visual support in many different ways. It seems effective for them because it is so versatile they can use it to promote and market products, they can make videos that are informational or maybe even "tutorial" style videos. The most popular platforms I saw were definitely Youtube and Instagram. The channel that really caught my eye is Kimberly Ann Jimenez. https://www.youtube.com/user/KimberlyAnnJimenez She currently has 29,988 youtube subscribers and 4,651 followers on Instagram. So for her, the videos seem to get a larger response. She posts frequently and has a lot of active followers liking and commenting on both photos and videos.

WEEK 9

I searched words like small business, success, networking, marketing, building clients and more. I came up with a ton of results, I felt that there was a bunch of great companies and people that popped up when looking through these searches. I ended up finding some really great businesses, websites that are posting content geared towards my business and a lot of well-established entrepreneurs.  I created two lists, the first one being a Platforms list and the second being s Business related list. I think that these two lists are very motivating and can help me reach my goals because not only do they give me inspiration but also ideas I can incorporate into my own business model.  I do not have a lot of information to go off of so far with the Twitter analytics but I am noticing that in the mornings and then later at night the activity seems to peak.

WEEK 8

The top visual platforms for social media are Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and Pinterest. After reading our class lecture I think the platform that would be super engaging for my business structure would be youtube but as far as practicality goes I would have to choose Instagram. The reason that I think Instagram would be a good choice is that they, like Facebook, have the option for a business account. Not only can you create a targeted audience and promote your posts to them but you can also see your "insights" for example your post engagement and reach. I have created an Instagram for my business. @socialmediaconsultingbyalexa https://www.instagram.com/socialmediaconsultingbyalexa/

WEEK 6

Post Reach - Post Reach is referring to the number of people that see your posts/page. This only includes the number of people who have looked at your posts, not likes. Post Engagement -  Post Engagement is the number of people who have looked at a post of yours and engaged with it. They can do so by liking, commenting, and sharing. If you have a high engagement on your posts it is likely that your post reach will grow. Facebook has a really great feature that allows you to see all of this information and gives you tips and tricks to make these numbers grow. Not only can you see the number of people who have viewed your page but you can promote posts and do ads through facebook and market your business to your target audience.

WEEK 7 POST 2

Above is a screenshot of my scheduled posts. My three posts include a motivational quote, an interesting article about competitive businesses and lastly an article that has tips for entrepreneurs. I think that all of these posts are a great addition to my page because when someone scrolls down and looks through my feed it gives them an idea of the kind of information and tools I could provide for them.
