WEEK 5: POST 2

Target Audience: My target audience will be people that are local to the area. This coffee shop is in a great area and can cater to many different niches including but not limited to students, business people, tourists, and even the trendy younger generation. Based on the location I can see an older generation that doesn't have to be at work every day coming for morning coffee before they walk the coast. I think a really huge group of consumers will be tourists because this is such a huge vacation spot during the summer months but they will also accumulate a lot of loyal regular customers who live in the area.

WEEK 5: POST 1

Companies Target Audience: Subway seems to cater to veterans, families, and kids while Hungry Bear targets Locals, Football Fans, and people in the community such as sports teams or law enforcement. Website Design: When you first clock on Subways website the first thing that you see is images of some of their popular or new subs. Scrolling down you see that they are advertising that they use fresh products and have a rewards program. They also advertise that they help their community and support veterans. Some calls to action they have on their home page are "Earn while you eat", "Get the app", and "Start order".  Hungry Bear's site is much different, their home page doesn't have the same amount of advertising as Subway does. They also have front and center some photos of their subs and claim to have "The best sub in San Diego". Calls to action on their page include "Come in & Taste", "Be social! Find us, like us

WEEK THREE: POST TWO

Business 1:  Revolution Roasters  http://www.revoroasters.com/ Facebook/ Instagram @ revolutionroasters They are very active on their social media It seems that they use their Instagram more than Facebook, they post photos of their store, food, and drinks for their followers to see.  Instagram - 4 hours ago Facebook - October 20th, 2017 They seem to only be utilizing Instagram, this is a newer business that has really taken off with a younger and "trendy" crowd so I believe that they get a lot more traction on their Instagram than any other social media site.  Business 2:  Brandy Melville  https://www.brandymelvilleusa.com/ Instagram They are active on Instagram They don't have any social media linked on their website @brandymelivilleusa Instagram- 4 hours ago  They showcase their clothing brand by having popular models post photos in their clothes.  Business 3:  Hydro Flask https://www.hydroflask.com/ Twitter - 20 hours

WEEK FOUR: POST TWO

Site 1. https://www.target.com/ I think that the Target website's design is appealing because everyone associates Target with the big red "target" so it is fitting that their site incorporates this color. The home page of their site shows you deals that they might have happening right now for example right now it is 25% off of home items. They also list highlights, categories, clearance,  trending and much more. I use this site often because Target has a very wide variety of products. Something that I noticed while doing this website is that right now at the top there is a clickable link that takes you to a page that shows you how Target is supporting victims of Hurricane Florence. Often times I will be looking at their site to see if the product that I might want are in stock at the store near me. They have all of the principles of the design included in their design, there is nothing I would change about this site. ' Site 2. https://www.amazon.com/ I use Amazon

WEEK FOUR: POST ONE

Site 1. https://www.pennyjuice.com/ When looking at this website the first thing that I notice is that the websites color scheme isn't very appealing. Not knowing anything about this company before going to their website I also think that they could do a better job of explaining what their product is because of the lack of information I didn't know about their product.  One pro is that they do have their social media accounts easily accessible from their site. If they added more info about their products I believe that people would be more inclined to buy their products and although this product is marketed for kids adults are the real consumer so making the page more appealing and accessible would be good. Site 2. http://gatesnfences.com/ Once again when looking at this website the first thing that I notice is that the design of the website could use some work. The design is not very welcoming and if I was looking for a service and it was between this company and one with

WEEK THREE

In this weeks post, we will be talking about communication between businesses and customers. I see both the advantages as well as the disadvantages of communicating online with a business. On one hand, the customer is able to express their opinions about a service or product for others to read but at the same time, I feel like the communication on the business end is less personal. For example Yelp, this is a website where people can post their reviews of different businesses and the owner can respond. I work in a restaurant and it is a huge corporate company so anytime someone leaves a negative review about their experience they will most likely get an automated response telling them to email the company to discuss it further. It is great for consumers who are looking for honest reviews from peers just like them as opposed to a paid advertisement. Personally, I have never communicated with a business through social media. In most cases, if I have an issue with a service or product I

WEEK TWO

In my opinion, Instagram seems to be the most geared towards personal use. Most social media platforms started as a way to keep in contact with friends and family but quickly evolved into a way to promote products and new businesses. One of the most groundbreaking social media sites is Facebook. I think that as social media has grown into a business platform that Facebook has stayed current and made their site something that would be great for not just socializing but promoting your company and connecting with interested customers.  One social media platform that is not geared towards business, in my opinion, is Twitter. Twitter seems to be one of the only sites that has not become a major business platform. Instagram seems to work great for both personal and business-related uses. "Influencers" can promote products for companies and make lots of money based off of the number of followers they have. It is not uncommon to see Instagrams with 200k+ followers posting ads and
