Site 1. https://www.target.com/
I think that the Target website's design is appealing because everyone associates Target with the big red "target" so it is fitting that their site incorporates this color. The home page of their site shows you deals that they might have happening right now for example right now it is 25% off of home items. They also list highlights, categories, clearance, trending and much more. I use this site often because Target has a very wide variety of products. Something that I noticed while doing this website is that right now at the top there is a clickable link that takes you to a page that shows you how Target is supporting victims of Hurricane Florence. Often times I will be looking at their site to see if the product that I might want are in stock at the store near me. They have all of the principles of the design included in their design, there is nothing I would change about this site. '
Site 2. https://www.amazon.com/
I use Amazon probably more than any other website and it is really interesting because compared to other sites they really do targeted ads. This can be beneficial when you are on the hunt for something for example if you go on Amazon and look up a computer case but don't follow through with the purchase the next time that you visit the site on your home page there will probably be some suggestions of different computer cases for you to look at. They have a section that is called "Inspired by your wish list" So if you add something to your wish list essentially saving it for later it will pop up again which for a lot of people probably reminds them that they were looking to purchase that item or something similar. As an Amazon prime member, one flaw that I have learned is that there is the option to "Buy now with 1-Click" I have accidentally hit this before and it instantly purchases the item. I don't notice any design flaws on their site it seems to be extremely user-friendly.
